The animated film Misaki no Mayoiga will make its theatrical premiere beginning August 27th.
The movie follows the journey of two young women, Moeka who’s left to fend for herself after the passing of her parents, and Yurie who’s fleeing an abusive husband. After a great earthquake and tsunami, the two are caught up in an accident and have lost their memories. They’re helped by an old woman who gives them a place to stay at the “Mayoiga” home.

The film is based off the serialized novel by Kashiwaba Sachiko which ran from 2014 to 2015.
