Animal Gods is a Zelda-Inspired Game Set in Bronze Age Europe

Still Games have announced that Animal Gods, their Bronze Age, Zelda-inspired action adventure game, has been funded on Kickstarter.

“We’re thrilled to have reached our funding target. The response from our backers has been amazing, and now that we are funded we’re excited to be able to make Animal Gods a reality,” said Peter Harmon, Game Designer for Animal Gods. “For the next 48 hours we’re going to be focused on the stretch goals for the campaign and hoping we can take Animal Gods to the PlayStation 4.”

Animal Gods has also been also been approved on Steam GreenLight. Featured above, you can view the latest trailer for the title.

The game is inspired by the likes of the Zelda series, in which you play as a seemingly ordinary hero who takes matters into their own hands. You’ll be tasked with saving the world and freeing the animal gods in this gorgeous, painted 2D world inspired by Europe’s ancient Bronze Age.

Animal Gods is set for a late 2016 release across PC, Mac, Linux, and Wii U.
