Nintendo has announced Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp is shutting down this fall. marking an end for the series’ first mobile spinoff.
Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp is shutting down on November 29th and at the time of shut down will have run for about seven years since its 2017 debut.
While the current iteration of the smartphone spinoff will be shutting down, a premium and paid version of the game will launch when the current free app is closed.
Alongside news of a paid version of Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp is confirmation that fans will be able to transfer their save data to the paid version, and it will retain the same gameplay functionality of the original game – save for online-only functionality as it won’t require internet to play.
