Nintendo have announced paid DLC for Animal Crossing: New Horizons; the Happy Home Paradise expansion.
Players visit a small archipellago, setting up ideal vacation homes for visiting Villagers. Choose the island (with various biomes), and decorate the home to suit their needs from the available furniture. You can decorate the yard, and even change the time of day for the perfect diorama.
As you decorate more, you not only get more furniture, but can create bigger rooms. Use partition walls and pillars to divide the room up. You can even polish furniture to make it sparkle or add other effects, use special lighting, and add soundscapes.
All of these features will also be available in your own home. Along with giving a Villagers a souvenir can encourage them to visit, you can redecorate their homes after making enough happy customers.
Making ideal vacation homes will net you Poki currency, to buy furniture you normally could not obtain. You can even redecorate a vacation home, or recommend two villagers room together.
You can design the empty buildings on the main island as well- setting up schools, restaurants, hospitals, and more. Villagers will likewise visit these spots. The Happy Home Network app can be used to quickly visit vacation homes, and share them online. Amiibo can also be used to design vacation homes for special NPCs, such as Isabelle.

The Happy Home Paradise expansion DLC launches November 5th for $24.99 USD. It can also be obtained via the Nintendo Switch Online+ Expansion Pack (individual membership $49.99 USD for 12 months, Family membership $79.99 USD for 12 months).
