Animal Crossing: New Horizons February Update Features Festivale Event and More

Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Nintendo have announced the February content update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons, including the Festivale event.

As stated in the press release, the next major update will launch January 28th, and will bring new content through February. On February 1st, the Able Sisters will start selling Festivale clothing before the event itself on February 15th.

Pavé the dancing peacock will come to your island on the day of the Festivale, asking you to capture colorful feathers drifting on the wind. Nab them to watch him dance. Rainbow feathers are noted as being especially rare.

While not mentioned in the press release itself, we see new festival themed items in the screenshots and trailer. These include confetti cannons, rugs, miniature trees, and balloons. As with past events, these are likely rewards for gathering the items for the event NPC.

Players can also gain the Viva Festival Reaction Set from Nook’s Cranny (Feelin’ It, Let’s Go, Viva, and Confetti), and players can pick up season items from the Nook Stop and Nook Shopping. The latter includes items themed on Valentines Day (from February 1st to 14th), Groundhog Day, and the US Superbowl (“Big Game Celebration”) through January and February.

Another update will be coming to the game in March, and the new trailer seems to confirm it will be based on the Super Mario Bros. 35th Anniversary.

Finally on March 26th, the Animal Crossing Sanrio Collaboration Pack will be available in the US at Target stores for $5.99 USD. It features all six amiibo cards from the collaboration series, and further details will be revealed in the future.
