Nintendo previously announced both a Fire Emblem and an Animal Crossing mobile game, set for a release sometime this fall.
The company promised these games would be more akin to a “traditional” game release, not like their Miitomo smartphone app.
Now we’ve learned (via the Wall Street Journal) that both games be free-to-play.
DeNA Chief executive Isao Moriyasu said both games will be free to start, meaning they will have in-game microtransactions. A Nintendo spokeswoman also confirmed this to the Wall Street Journal.
