Western publisher GKIDS has announced a western premiere date for their Angel’s Egg 4K remaster is set for later this year.

The Angel’s Egg 4K remaster is set to premiere in North American theaters later this fall, on November 19th for the first time outside of Japan.

The remastered film was premiered at the Cannes International Film Festival back in May, and will get two more screenings at Fantastic Fest and New York Film Festival.

As covered in our previous report, the new Angel’s Egg 4K remaster is being made by scanning the original 35mm film negatives and remastering each frame into 4K, with Oshii overseeing the entire process with his approval.
