Japanese developer key has announced a delay for anemoi, their next romance visual novel.
The developer posted a new update noting they had to delay the game a bit further into 2026, with a new day set for April 24th, 2026. The game was delayed over needing to improve its overall quality and meet both fans and the team’s expectations.
anemoi had just released a playable demo for Christmas and was previously set for a January 30th, 2026 release for Windows PC.
The game’s main writer and director, Shun Sayuki, apologized for the delay but noted they will deliver a game “without compromise.”
“I’m sorry that I couldn’t meet the deadline,” Sayuki said. “However, with the goal of delivering something better, I will approach the production until the very end without compromise, so I would greatly appreciate it if you could kindly grant me just a little more time.”
