Americana Dawn Explores The Country’s Past

With so many games popping up on Kickstarter, it can be tough covering all of the quality titles vying for your precious donation dollars. Thanks to a commenter on our site by the name of Siveon, I was made aware of a new RPG called Americana Dawn.

Though Americana Dawn has a visual aestethic that heavily resembles Suikoden (And a combat screen that looks like Ogre Battle), the theme of the RPG is what sets it apart from the thousands of other games on Kickstarter. Like the recently released Boot Hill Heroes, Americana Dawn digs into America’s history to tell it’s story.

Inspired by the lack of games based on American folklore, the designers hope to craft an RPG that does the setting justice while also creating a new way to look at the country’s history. So far, the game looks fantastic. Of particular note is the tactical RPG strategy war game that resembles Suikoden.

As of this writing, the game is 50K short of their $70,000 goal with only 14 days left.

Besides its Kickstarter, more info can be found on the game’s Steam Greenlight page.
