American McGee is known for his previous outings that put a dark twist on the classic fairy tale Alice in Wonderland in both American McGee’s Alice and Alice: Madness Returns. Now he’s back with a new title that is out on Steam, called simply Grimm.

The new game is described as a grimmer retelling of fairy tale classics such as Cinderella, Jack and the Beanstalk, and Little Red Riding Hood. Like many other popular indie developers’ recent releases, Grimm is an episodic story and as such will get new content released periodically.

There will be 23 episodes in total, each of which costing a dollar. If you want to save some cash, you can always buy all 23 for the price of ten dollars, although each episode is a complete, standalone story – meaning they can be played in any order.
