Amazon No Longer Offering Prime Discounts for Game Re-Releases and Remasters

Amazon has announced (thanks, CheapAssGamer) they’re removing another Prime Member discount regarding video games – their 20% discount for pre-orders will no longer apply towards re-releases or remasters.

This means game releases like Shenmue I and II HD, Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition, and even the Spyro Reignited Trilogy will not be eligible for the Prime Member pre-order discount. Previously, Amazon also removed the Prime Member pre-order discount from collector’s editions, long a staple of the benefits to purchasing through their outlet.

Do you purchase or pre-order your video games through Amazon? If so, would this sort of decision make you want to shop elsewhere? Sound off in the comments below!
