Vagabond Dog has announced that their indie RPG, Always Sometimes Monsters, is going to finally be arriving on May 21st via Steam and the Humble Store. If you pre-order the game through its Steam portal, you’ll get it for 10% percent off.
Always Sometimes Monsters is “inspired by always sometimes true-life events” and paints a story about the distance people will go in order to find both happiness, and love. The game is narrative driven, and is seen through the eyes of an unfortunate person who comes to find the love of their life marrying someone else. This forces them to make some difficult choices, and ultimately the game adapts to their decisions.
The protagonist in Always Sometimes Monsters is customizable in the sense of letting you choose your gender, race, and even your sexual orientation. The name of the game is a double entendre that alludes to the fact that everyone can be a monster emotionally, but the game also tries to spread the message that you can always change.
Always Sometimes Monsters will be playable at the PAX East Indie Megabooth, which is coming this weekend.
