Alasdair Beckett-King’s Interactive Murder Mystery Whodidit? Live on Twitter

Alasdair Beckett-King's Interactive Murder Mystery Whodidit?

Comedian Alasdair Beckett-King has created an interactive murder-mystery on Twitter, dubbed “Alasdair Beckett-King’s Interactive Murder Mystery Whodidit?”

The bizarre technically-ARG (augmented reality game) see’s Alasdair Beckett-King (here an inventor) murdered by his antique letter opener (in the shape of a massive knife).

The suspects (all played by Beckett-King) include Sooty Baumgartner (American wife and life coach), Primm the Butler (also valet and “co-sleeper”), Fanny Rice-Drizzle (his niece with a PHD in Orphan Studies from Boxford University), Josiah Croup (elderly neighbor and life-long rival), and Wirral O’Reilly (a handyman from an “unspecified” part of the British Isles).

Clues and interviews will be posted to Twitter in the coming week, and Twitter users can send in questions for the suspects. Tomorrow will see an interview with Baumgartner, along with a clue from the crime scene.

The preview shows two photos, the antique letter opener, and a ring. However, one other clue already exists. Primm the Butler states he lost his left hand trekking is Iceland (“near the desserts”)- yet, we see him carrying a tray in a gloved hand.

Currently the “detectives” are tasked with selecting their name. Sam Domond, Sleuthard of the Yard, or Nip Titley? As of this time of writing, Nip Titley is winning the vote at 58.1%.

Beckett-King states the concept was “Brought to you by: Clothes And Objects I Had In My Flat.” No doubt Beckett-King is making the most of his time while the coronavirus pandemic has everyone on lockdown, and is bringing entertainment to others.

Comments thus far have been positive, praising the recordings production values, even considering the circumstances the show was recorded under.
