Alan Wake TV series in development with AMC

Alan Wake TV series

Remedy Enterainment has announced an Alan Wake TV series, though we don’t know much beyond it being based on the cult crime/horror/thriller video game.

Remedy announced that AMC Studios (The Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, etc) have picked up the rights to adapt the game into an Alan Wake TV series. Speaking in their update video Remedy creative director Sam Lake talked up the news of an Alan Wake TV series.

“Well, AMC, the wonderful, wonderful home for absolutely brilliant TV shows has bought the rights for Alan Wake,” Lake said. “And we have been collaborating on making a TV show happen.”

This may not come as a surprise for eagle-eyed fans of Alan Wake as Remedy has been saying as far back as 2018 that they have been wanting to adapt the series into a TV show.

However, it looks like we’ll all be waiting a little bit longer as Sam Lake stated in the update video, video games take a long time to make and TV series take even longer.

Not much else was said about the Alan Wake TV series, so I guess all we can do a the moment is speculate about what might be.
