Japanese developer Acquire announced the Akiba’s Trip series has shipped and sold over 1 million copies.

The new announcement includes worldwide shipments and sales and was made in celebration of the series’ 15th anniversary today, alongside new celebratory artwork (featured above).

The original game, Akiba’s Trip, launched for the PSP in Japan back on May 19th of 2011. Its sequel, Akiba’s Trip: Undead & Undressed, was released for PS Vita and PS3 in 2013 for Japan and later got ported to PC, Switch, and PS4.

An HD remake of the original game, Akiba’s Trip: Hellbound & Debriefed, was released for PC, Switch, and PS4. The latest game in the series, Akiba’s Beat, was released back in 2016 for Japan and 2017 for the west.

To celebrate the new milestone, both Akiba’s Trip: Undead & Undressed and Akiba’s Trip: Hellbound & Debriefed are on sale now until May 25th on PC.
