Carbon Games have released their latest game, AirMech Arena, to both Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
While the release is currently not completely open to the public, if you’re a Playstation Plus user, you can opt-in for the “Early Access” on PS4. However, Xbox One users can request a code here. The game has been available to play, free, on PC and Xbox 360, since last year.
The game is a mix of traditional real-time-strategy combat and somewhat of a MOBA-action title, in which you can make use of nine Airmechs, each with their own unique skills. On top of that, currently there is over 60 units for you to send out into battle alongside your Airmechs, ranging from tanks, bombers, fighter jets, and more.
Players are able to play solo, or go multiplayer with 3-on-3 matches, and four player cooperative play. It’s worth mentioning that Carbon Games are made up of mostly former Titan Studios developers, who were known for the excellent party-strategy game, Fat Princess. AirMech Arena also took inspiration from the classic console RTS, Herzog Zwei.
You can find more information regarding AirMech Arena over on the game’s official website.
