AI detective game Vaudeville adds speech recognition for 8 languages

Vaudeville

The experimental AI title Vaudeville now has speech recognition support for 8 more languages.

For those unfamiliar, Vaudeville is an AI-powered title that puts you in the shoes of a detective trying to solve a murder case. Every NPC can be spoken to, and will talk back with a uniquely-generated response.

You can read the announcement below:

Bumblebee Studios is excited to announce the addition of speech recognition in eight diverse languages. Starting today, players of Vaudeville can converse with their favourite characters in:

  • English
  • Chinese
  • Spanish
  • Italian
  • German
  • Korean
  • French
  • Japanese

This groundbreaking feature seeks to elevate the user experience, enabling global fans to immerse themselves more deeply. It’s important to note, however, that while the English version is robust, the feature remains experimental for the other seven languages. Feedback from our dedicated community will be invaluable as we continue to refine and perfect this offering.

Players do need to keep in mind that the English language still has the most robust support, while the others are still in need of refinement.

Vaudeville is available on Microsoft Windows (through Steam).
