Yacht Club Games have announced Shovel Knight Pocket Dungeon, an adventure-puzzle game developed in conjunction with Vine.

As part of the Yacht Club Games Presents presentation, Yacht Club Games revealed more information on the game, as well as on their official website.

Shovel Knight has been trapped in the titular Pocket Dungeon, and now with the help of Puzzle Knight, seeks to escape. As blocks fall from the top of the screen (enemies, dirt blocks, potions and more), Shovel Knight can bump into them.

All blocks of the same kind touching each other react in a chain when bumped. When Shovel Knight bumps into an enemy, they trade damage. So, the player should keep some potions lying around to heal up.

Players can also use items and equipment, along with playing as one of 10 playable characters. There is also a 2-player versus mode, and the game’s whole soundtrack is by Jake Kaufman.

While the press kit has not stated any platforms, the announcement on the official website states “Be sure to join us at PAX East to try out the new demo, featuring the first few stages! All playable on Nintendo Switch.”
