Modus Games and developer Finish Line Games have announced Skully, an adventure platformer where players control a skull able to transform using clay.
As stated in the press release, a deity is in desperate need to stop its three warring siblings from destroying their tropical island home. Granting new life to a skull that had washed up, players control the rolling skull. Players can also cast themselves into magic clay, granting themselves one of three new forms with new abilities to challenge 18 levels.
“We fell in love with the story and the madcap mechanics behind it,” said Modus Games’ EVP of global marketing Shane Bierwith. CEO Christina Seelye also stated “To say this game is unique is an understatement.”
Daniel Posner, CEO of Finish Line Games, also shared his joy of bringing the project to life. “We’re really excited to share Skully with the world. We think a lot of people will connect with the game, and its heroic journey of a seemingly unimposing character destined to accomplish great things.”
