Adobe will begin selling AI-generated stock images

Adobe is reportedly looking to offer stock images for artists and creators that are based on art produced not by humans – but artificial intelligence.

The new report (via Axios) confirms Adobe is opening up their stock images service with creations made by generative AI programs like DALL-E, Stable Diffusion, and more.

The real question is if they’ll allow victorian anime girls with massive breasts into the program, or if this will be limited to more esoteric things like backgrounds or environments.

Adobe previously outlined a future with AI-produced artwork at their Max conference back in October, in which they noted AI will likely complement, not replace, human artists and artwork.

Furthermore, the company said they’re accepting images submitted from genereative AI on the same terms as human-made artwork, but they must be labeled as AI-generated.
