Activision launches new Warsaw studio Elsewhere Entertainment

Elsewhere Entertainment

Activision has announced they’ve launched a new internal development studio, Elsewhere Entertainment, and it’s based in Warsaw.

Elsewhere Entertainment is headquartered in Warsaw, Poland but will have additional support from staff in the United States.

Details on the studio’s first project are scant but they are “exclusively” working on a “new narrative-based and genre-defining AAA franchise.”

Founding staff at Elsewhere Entertainment include a “collection of storytelling experts” who have worked on franchises like The Last of Us, Uncharted, The Witcher, Cyberpunk, Destiny, Tom Clancy’s The Division, and Far Cry.

Lastly, Activision describes the new studio as a “premier and standalone studio” that is dedicated to “establishing an environment that inspires bold and diverse ideas,” while also pursuing a mission that “encourages everyone to explore and collaborate creatively to craft a franchise with an enduring legacy that resonates far beyond games.”
