Activision Blizzard plans on bringing games to Xbox Game Pass next year

With the deal for Microsoft to acquire Activision Blizzard is expected to close soon, many are wondering if and when their large library of games will be coming to Xbox Game Pass.

Through an announcement on Twitter/X, it turns out Activision Blizzard will hit Game Pass rather soon after the deal goes through, but not all games will make their way to the subscription service.

“We anticipate that we would begin adding games into Game Pass sometime in the course of next year,” the publisher said, confirming that Activision Blizzard titles will be making it over to Game Pass.

However, they added, “We do not have plans to put Modern Warfare III or Diablo IV into Game Pass this year.” Even though the possibility is still open, as there are only a few months left in 2023 – their biggest titles might be delayed on coming to the service in favor of more unit sales.

Games they didn’t mention will likely see a Game Pass release in the next year. Possible examples include older Call of Duty titles, Crash Bandicoot, and Starcraft.

What do you think of this news? And are there any games from Activision Blizzard you would want to see come to Xbox Game Pass?
