Acer announces Nitro XV240 F6 world’s fastest 600hz monitor

Nitro XV240 F6

Acer has announced the Nitro XV240 F6 monitor, which is now the fastest available monitor on the market at a blazing 600Hz refresh rate.

Previously, we’ve reported on Asus launching a monitor at 500Hz a couple years ago and there have been 540Hz monitors launched since but this is the first 600hz monitor to hit the market.

This new monitor by Acer targets gamers wanting the fastest possible monitors for esports titles. While it sports only a 1920×1080 resolution with a TN panel at 24.1 inches, the company claims it’ll be able to reach IPS levels of color reproduction with 99% sRGB and 95% DCI-P3 coverage.

Other features include AMD Freesync Premium support and Display HDR400 certification, as well as support for DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.0. However, using HDMI will only support up to 240Hz, so practically everyone purchasing Acer’s monitor will need to use DisplayPort to actually get the advertised speeds.

At these refresh rates, Acer is aiming solely for the esports crowd, where having the least amount of latency is important for game defining plays. Though at this point, some might not see much improvement over monitors that already support 500Hz+ rates, as the percentage gain’s are minimal compared to past jumps.

The Acer Nitro XV240 F6 is expected to launch in Q1 2025 and is set for a price tag of $599.
