Niche Gamer is all about exposing people to new and unfairly overlooked games, and with that being the case it would almost be criminal if I didn’t mention that Abyss Odyssey, the Atlus-published side scrolling ARPG, just hit Steam today.

Developed by Chilean developer ACE Team, this indie roguelike/Castelvania-esque game has some fairly impressive art and animations considering the size and experience of the studio that crafted it. Early buzz seems to indicate it’s as good as the videos show, and after spending an hour with it I’d say it certainly shows promise.

For the next 24 hours, the game is being sold at a 33% discount and can be grabbed for a scant $9.99 USD.
