The official twitter account for Half Minute Hero is teasing a potential localization for the second game in the series. The original Half Minute Hero launched on the Playstation Portable back in 2009, while the sequel was released in Japan last August on the PSP as well.
Despite previous teases of an English translation by Marvelous, fans are still clamoring for the sequel to be localized. However, the possibility of a localized sequel came via the aforementioned tweet:
“Here’s a little something for impatient Half Minute Hero fans”
The tweet had a youtube video link, which you can view below:
The nine minute long gameplay trailer is complete with English subtitles, meaning that they’ve already taken the time to at least put subs into the game. The footage showcases the games multiplayer and community battle modes, Goddess Room, map editor, and all of the various maps.
In Half Minute Hero, players are literally given only 30 seconds to defeat all of the enemies and complete a mission, otherwise it’s game over. The original game was launched on PSP, only to be later ported to Xbox Live Arcade, and eventually Steam.
