Back in September, we mentioned that PoPoLoCrois and Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons would be doing a 3DS crossover game.
There’s some new info out, according to Gematsu. There’s not much about the gameplay (no word yet on how farming will fit into the game …) but there is more information about the world and its characters.
In the previous PoPoLoCrois game, the Ice Demon was defeated, and in this new one the kingdom of Popolocrois has once again become peaceful as a result.
Pietro, the prince of the kingdom, celebrates his birthday with an extravagant party. During the celebrations, a woman, Marmela (voiced by Marina Inoue), a diplomat from Galariland, appears to reveal to Pietro that Galariland knows how to defend against a Dark Beast that will soon be threatening his kingdom.
Later, Pietro, missing his friend Narushia, decides to go see her at her home in Flornel Forest. Gomer (Sho Hayami), his personal guard, tags along. Narushia lives with a powerful witch, Guilda (Masako Nozawa), who, upon Pietro’s arrival, immediately tells Narushia to leave, and also warns Pietro about the Dark Beast.
Pietro decides to investigate these rumors of a Dark Beast, and soon faces the creature itself, which gives Pietro the determination he needs to in earnest begin to address this threat. The solution, of course, is to travel to Galariland.
Other characters who will appear in the game are Nino (Tomokazu Seki), Roo (Soichi Hoshi), the Spring Fairy (Sumi Shimamoto), the White Knight (Masashi Ebara), and Gamigami Devil (Akio Otsuka).
Nino and Roo are a pair of brothers who live in Flornel Forest. Nino is an outgoing, young man whose brash personality belies his kindness. He finds Pietro in a forest, collapsed, and saves him. Roo, the younger of the two, likes to farm and cook; he makes turnip soup for Pietro. The Spring Fairy, another friend of Pietro’s who lives in a spring inside of the forest, will also make appearances.
Marvelous has announced no release date yet for PoPoLoCrois Farm Story.
