    Well, it would be better if it was an official game, but this is pretty nice. Hopefully someone will transla- hahahahaha.
    I think I saw most of these some years ago. Still pretty cool.

    Touhou is a franchise that could end up being as big as CoD, but being an unjust universe as this is, Zun’s hobbies – beer and hats – aren’t particularly expensive, so he can maintain his reluctance to go mainstream.

    Can we, somehow, get him addicted to warhammer or something?

    I’m guessing none will get a proper physical release for those who want to import, right?

    Not as big a deal for PS4, but a damn shame for Vita. You’d think if they were small they could bundle a couple into one physical package, at least.

    I don’t think I’ll ever understand the Touhou fanbase.

    Whaat, there are Touhou Vita themes!? I don’t suppose we’ll ever get them on PSN in NA though. ;_;

    I dunno, I prefer it this way. What makes Touhou what it is is the freedom of the fan community to do whatever they want. But when you say ‘as big as CoD’ or ‘going mainstream’, I’m imagining some meddling suits down the line.

    Adventures of Scarlet Curiosity is a really great game. Pretty graphics, gameplay strongly inspired by the golden age of 3D Ys games (Napishtim, Felghana, Origin), music by Aizawa (Hachimitsu-Lemon). Better still, the PC version already has an unofficial English patch!

    Damn I wish Japanese PSN cards didn’t have their prices jacked up everywhere on import sites or sony actually allowed non-japanese credit cards/paypal on jap psn.

    Not necessarily. Zun could have very strict licensing terms, and the IP itself would still remain in his full control. Nothing would change beyond some companies making a game here and there.

    Kinda like how it goes with Warhammer 40k.

    What DOES make Touhou so popular anyway? i’m not bashing it since i’ve never played it, but how does this indie shoot em up series have such an awesome fanbase?

    Cute girls and great music. It seems like a lot of the fanbase doesn’t even play the danmaku games though, which is a shame.

    IMHO, we need a remake of Embodiment of Scarlet Devil on PS4/Xbox One/Steam, preferably developed by Final Form Games (Jamestown: Legend of the Lost Colony)

    Eh, I don’t know what Sony call them. Codes to add money to your PSN account. You can buy codes to use with a Japanese account from certain online stores.

    Think you mean a Psn code you get from the store there’s 10$ 20$ 50$ yeah money isn’t the problem. But the whole Japanese account will be a pain…

    I doubt I’m allowed to post download links for the game itself (they’re just a quick Google search away!), but the translation patch can be found right here: https://ocv.me/kks/

    There’s also a link to a list of official retailers on that page.
