Crypt of the Necrodancer Launching for PS4 and PS Vita on February 2

Brace Yourself Games have announced the release date for Crypt of the Necrodancer on both PlayStation 4 and PS Vita.

The game will be releasing in both North America and Europe for both platforms on February 2nd. It’s worth mentioning the game is cross-buy, meaning if you purchase it on one platform, you get it free on the other.

In case you missed our review for the PC version of the game, you can find it here (we highly recommend it).

I still haven’t decided if this is a game I’d enjoy. I have quite a number of satisfying rhythm games. I have quite a number of satisfying roguelikes.

Each respective part in this game seems kinda…half fleshed out. Like if it wasn’t for the rhythm part, it would be an extremely simplified roguelike. And if it wasn’t for the roguelike, the rhythm part would be very bare bones as well.

Maybe I should just bite the bullet and pick this up next time it goes on sale.

This has been on my Steam wishlist forever. Now I’m just following the usual flow of logic:
Vita. Indie game. Playstation plus. It’ll get here soon enough. I’ll have a better probability of playing it on the Vita, too.

Thought this was a great idea for Vita, then remembered how bad the world 2 songs are and lost interest, like every time I think about this game. Which is a shame considering how great the world 1 songs, boss songs, and some of the world 3 songs are.
