Independent developer Lunacy Studios has announced The House of Hikmah, a new narrative 3D adventure game.
The House of Hikmah is in development for Windows PC (via Steam) with a release set for early in 2026.
Lunacy Studios is a newer team made up of industry veterans that have worked on IPs like Star Wars: Battlefront, Mass Effect, Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood, Journey, Sword of the Sea, and The Pathless, Life is Strange, and more.
“We’re endeavoring to create an emotionally resonant narrative that players can connect with on a deep and personal level,” said Faris Attieh, Creative Director, Lunacy Studios in a press release. “We’re excited to bring some of the insightful teachings of the Islamic Golden Age to Western audiences.”

In the wake of her father’s death, Maya enters the House of Wisdom, a dreamlike sanctuary filled with centuries of knowledge. By transforming elements with a mysterious device, Maya must solve puzzles to traverse the realms of larger-than-life historical Scholars. Each door she opens uncovers the secrets of her father’s legacy, but behind them lie the shadows Maya may not be ready to face.
