Indie developer Thunder Lotus Games has announced a delay for 33 Immortals, their new Biblical roguelike inspired by Dante’s Divine Comedy.
33 Immortals will forgo its previously planned 2024 release for one sometime next year, in 2025.
When the holy roguelike does launch it’ll be available for Windows PC (via the Microsoft Store and the Epic Games Store), Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox Game Pass.
Here’s the full word from Thunder Lotus on the delay:
Hey Immortals,
We’ve got important news to share today: the Early Access release for 33 Immortals is being pushed back to 2025.
The game needs a little bit more time in the oven before it’s ready. We’re making great progress, but this year has really flown by! We still want to iron out a few unexpected challenges with stability and address the valu- able feedback we received from you during testing.
We’re incredibly grateful for the ongoing support from this amazing community. Your excitement, feedback, and involvement have been truly inspiring, and they’ve helped guide us as we work to deliver some- thing special.
Though we don’t have a set date for 2025 just yet, we’re excited to an- nounce that another playable opportunity is coming soon on both Epic and Xbox. Stay tuned for more details, we think you’ll love what’s coming next!
Thanks for your patience and understanding. We can’t wait to continue this journey with you!
Yours,
Med and the Thunder Lotus Team
