Indie developer Thunder Lotus Games released a sizeable update for 33 Immortals, their Biblical roguelike inspired by Dante’s Divine Comedy.

The update is now available for all players on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox PC, and via Xbox Game Pass and the Epic Games Store.

“With this update, our goal was to push the boundaries of what players can experience in 33 Immortals,” said Stephan Logier, Creative Director at Thunder Lotus. “We wanted to give fans the feature they were the most eager to see in the game: two new weapons, as those will add a lot of hours to the game and depth in the gameplay. They will also get new challenges if they dare to embrace them, new cosmetics, and even more ways to dive into the chaos.”

Pride and Temperance Update

Released as a free major content drop, the Pride and Temperance Update introduces two new weapons, a new ordeal system, exciting new chamber objectives, and additional surprises designed to keep players on their toes. The 33 Immortals Pride and Temperance Update is available now as a free download for all players on Epic Games Store, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox App for Windows PC, and Cloud.

Key Features:

• New Weapons – The Crossbows of Pride and Glaive of Temperance both allow players to explore fresh new playstyles.
• Ordeals – The new Ordeal system allows players to customize the challenge in 33 Immortals. Starting with one optional Ordeal, the amount of stackable Ordeal challenges increases as one defeats bosses, unlocking greater risks and rewards.
• New Chamber Objectives – players now face varied challenges, such as destroying Effigies of Submission or defending areas to capture Seals of Domination. These objectives encourage new strategies and deeper co-op coordination to complete each chamber.

33 Immortals has been available for Windows PC (via the Microsoft Store and the Epic Games Store), Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox Game Pass.
