Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) have announced the premiere date of the next PlayStation State of Play.
While the full presentation will be 30 minutes in length, nine of those will be dedicated to an extended gameplay sequence from Deathloop. The game is published by Bethesda Softworks; and of note Microsoft bought Bethesda parent company ZeniMax in March 2021.
The rest of the conference is a tight-lipped secret. Titles we may get new information on include Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut, The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki, GhostWire: Tokyo (another Bethesda PlayStation console exclusive Microsoft will honor), Forspoken, God of War Ragnarok, Gran Turismo 7, Horizon Forbidden West, Sifu, Solar Ash, and Final Fantasy XVI.
While it can be easy to assume Deathloop will be the “headline” of the presentation (as the other titles were not mentioned even in passing), we may still see some surprises. We will keep you informed as we learn more.
State of Play premieres July 8th at 2 p.m. PT (via Twitch, and YouTube).
