We’ve prepared a sneak a peek at WWE 2K22‘s My GM mode, ahead of the launch of WWE 2K22 less than a month away.
As the game gets closer to release, new information continues to emerge. Over the last week, the Women’s roster, My GM mode, and superstar ratings have been revealed; however, multiple members of the WWE 2K22 roster including past and former WWE stars are not happy with their ratings.
Even current WWE Star, G4 Host, and King of the Ring winner Xavier Woods (Austin Watson) complained about his 86 Overall rating. Former Tagteam partner and WWE Champion Big E was given an 87 rating.
Going into the WWE 2K22 My GM mode, these are just a few notable things to look out for:
WWE 2K22 My GM mode Details
Going into the WWE 2K22 My GM mode there are a few things to note. Each general manager will have their own distinct abilities and interactions. Players will be able to choose between Adam Pearce, Sonya Deville, Shane McMahon, Stephanie McMahon, or create their own custom general manager. Two examples of these abilities are Adam Pearce’s “instigator” ability & Sonya Deville’s morale boost.
In WWE 2K22 My GM mode, the player is tasked with scheduling matches, staying on budget, picking arena locations, and altering production elements. The player will need to follow commissioners’ objectives which can earn them Power cards to enhance the show. During each week’s show, the player can choose to either simulate, play, or spectate the matches that they have booked. If spectating, the show can run in real-time allowing for the control of camera angles. Fighting in the matches can help the wrestlers achieve a five-star match. Each match will receive a Match Report with tips for improvement.
At the start of WWE 2K22 My GM mode, players will have the opportunity to draft their roster. Each GM will start with a budget of 2,750,000. No wonder there were so many “Budget Cuts” releases in WWE over the last two years. GMs will take turns drafting superstars one at a time; after eight rounds of drafting, a GM can choose to OPT out of the draft. Players who stay in the draft can continue to sign WWE stars until they run out of money or OPT out. While drafting, the player can get recommendations from the computer on who to draft or look at additional information about each WWE star.
