Forever Entertainment is Working on a Night Slashers Remake

We’ve learned Forever Entertainment is working on a Night Slashers remake, news confirmed via the company’s latest financial disclosure.

While Forever Entertainment is working on a Night Slashers remake, further details on what exactly the remake entails weren’t shared. This is likely the start of production on the new licensed game, with the agreement falling between Forever Entertainment and the original IP holders, FE and G-MODE Corporation.

The new licensing deal is to “create and release a remake of Night Slashers on all major platforms,” and intends to capitalize on the success of other classic beat ’em up revivals like Streets of Rage IV, which has sold over 2.5 million copies to date.

As part of the new licensing deal, Forever Entertainment will receive a “significant part of the revenue” of each game sold on all platforms, with the number estimated over 50% of revenue per unit sold. All development costs will be provided by Forever Entertainment.

Forever Entertainment previously developed a remake for Sega’s classic Panzer Dragoon, and with a MegaPixel Studio-developed remake for Panzer Dragoon II Zwei: Remake coming sometime later in 2021. The publisher is also working on remakes for both The House of the Dead I and II, and several remakes based on Square Enix Japan IPs.
