Koei Tecmo have announced Monster Rancher 1 & 2 DX, complete with a worldwide launch and replicating the CD system.
Monster Rancher 1 & 2 DX launches worldwide December 9th for Windows PC (via Steam), Nintendo Switch, and iOS.
The original games launched 1997 and 1999; tasking players with raising monsters generated from CDs to compete against others in combat. To celebrate the series 25th anniversary, and meeting demands from around the world, Monster Rancher and Monster Rancher 2 will be re-released.
Monsters will be rebalanced, and even the CD mechanics has been replicated. The game will include “a database to find their desired CD and generate a monster from its data.”
