Bandai Namco Entertainment have released the gameplay character introduction trailer for Shionne from the upcoming Tales of Arise. 

As previously reported, the game takes place on the world of Dahna, where they had worshiped the nearby planet of Rena for 300 years. This reverence lead to the people of that world exploiting Dahna for resources and servitude. The ever crumbling “peace” between the two will soon be exploited by dark forces.

Alphen is former slave of Dahna, robbed of his memories and bound in an iron mask. Teaming up with Shionne, a young woman born from Rena, they seek to overthrow the oppression; as Shionne uses her powers to unleash the power of Alphen’s sword.

A native of Rena, Shionne is an elegant lady. However, she has the strange ability to electrocute anyone who touches her. Her understandably cold demeanor may melt away, as circumstances cause her to join the rebellion against her own people alongside Alphen.

In battle, she specializes in using a rifle, combined with some fancy footwork and Astral Artes. When not devastating foes with bullets and Artes, she can also heal her allies.

The protagonists who will determine the fate of these two worlds are Alphen and Shionne. They will overcome hardships and grow together with their unique group of friends. Gorgeous animation by ufotable is inserted at key points in the story, adding more color to our protagonists’ journey.

Tales of Arise launches September 10 for Windows PC (via Steam), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
