Arc the Lad R is shutting down in Japan on June 30th at 15:00 Japan time, publisher ForwardWorks has announced this morning.

Arc the Lad R takes place after the 1996-launched PlayStation One game Arc the Lad II, and was launched in Japan back in 2018 for iOS and Android.

While Arc the Lad R is shutting down in Japan, western publisher Boltrend Games is still set on releasing an English version for Arc the Lad R on May 11th via iOS and Android. For now you can visit the official English site here.

The game is set in a world after Arc the Lad II. 10 years ago, the Great Disaster caused a vast catastrophe on land in which about half the world’s population was decimated. 10 years after, Princess Sania, one of the heroes who fought in the Ark War, is leading the aquatic city Millmana to promote the reconstruction of the world.
