MLB The Show 21 Heads to Xbox Game Pass on Day One

MLB The Show 21

Microsoft has announced they’re bringing the formerly PlayStation-exclusive baseball game MLB The Show 21 for Xbox, and its coming to Xbox Game Pass for console and smartphones on launch day.

MLB The Show 21 is launching across Xbox Series X+S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 on April 20th.

This means the Sony Interactive Entertainment San Diego Studio-developed game is coming day-and-date on Xbox Series X+S and Xbox One alongside the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 versions. Sony Interactive Entertainment is still publishing the PS4 and PS5 versions, while the MLB group is publishing the Xbox versions.

MLB The Show has been developed by Sony development teams for years since its debut back in 1998, then produced by Sony Interactive Studios America. Eventually the series was produced by Sony Interactive San Diego Studios beginning in 2006.

This is the first release to ever come to non-PlayStation consoles, following a license renewal back in 2019 that stipulated the franchise had to go multi-platform.
