Genshin Impact “Rosaria: No Overtime, Ever” Character Demo

genshin impact Rosaria

MiHoYo have released a new gameplay trailer showing off the newest upcoming Genshin Impact character, Rosaria.

Rosaria is a gloomy and cold nun from Mondstadt that first appeared briefly in the 1.2 update’s story quest, and is the only new playable character being added in 1.4. She is a 4-star Cryo polearm character with a focus on mobility and damage over time.

Her Elemental Skill allows her to dash behind enemies before unleashing a slash of Cryo damage. Her Elemental Burst throws down an ice lance that deals periodic pulses of Cryo damage in a wide area.

You can find her new character demo trailer below.

Rosaria will be added to the game in the next limited time Wish Event banner, which features the return of Tartagalia as the banner’s highlighted 5-star character. Rosaria will be one of the 4-star characters that receives an increased drop rate, and she will eventually be added into the normal rotation of characters that can be acquired from the game’s permanent Wish banner.

The new banner featuring Tartagalia and Rosaria will replace the current Ballad in Goblets banner featuring Venti, Noelle, Razor, and Sucrose when it ends on April 6th.

Rosaria has been the subject of some controversy however. Fans were quick to notice her bust size had been reduced from her first appearance, and feared this was the result of censorship (fearing either the Chinese government or outcry from social media). Due to reusing animation assets however, there is a chance MiHoYo reduced her bust to prevent clipping with her pole-arm.

At this time of writing, MiHoYo has not released a statement on the changes to the character.

Genshin Impact is available and free-to-play on Windows PC (via the official website), PlayStation 4, Android, iOS, and coming soon to Nintendo Switch. In case you missed it, you can find our review here (we recommend it!)
