Lidia Sobieska and Island Paradise Stage Tekken 7 DLC Launches March 23

Tekken 7 Lidia Sobieska Polish

Bandai Namco Entertainment have revealed the next Tekken 7 DLC character; the Polish Lidia Sobieska, along with a release date and gameplay.

As previously reported, the next DLC character was teased during the Japan Fighting Game Publishers Roundtable #2; the (fictitious) Prime Minister of Poland. Tekken producer Katsuhiro Harada explained he traveled to Poland to organize a then upcoming tournament, but the coronavirus pandemic saw it cancelled.

The new character, now revealed as Lidia Sobieska, was developed in collaboration with the Polish embassy in Japan, and inspired by how the nation had several female Prime Ministers. “After the #Tekken Force arrived into parts of Poland,” the video description explains, “the Polish citizens cried out for a stronger leader and Lidia answered that call!”

A new stage (acting as DLC 19)will also be coming to the game, not based on Poland however. Instead it will be the Island Paradise stage, set in a sunny hotel resort. Lee Chaolan even gawks at the female fighters.

The Lidia Sobieska and Island Paradise DLC launches March 23rd, and will also be part of Tekken 7‘s Season Pass 4.
