Necromunda: Hired Gun, new game set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe, has leaked via the Microsoft Store.
The listing was first noticed by the Twitter user Idle Sloth, and at this time of writing the Microsoft Store page can only be reached if you have a direct link. The game is currently only announced for Xbox One and Xbox Series X, though given Focus Home Interactive’s history with 40k games, it is reasonable to assume that it will also be on PC, and potentially even PlayStation consoles.
Developed by Streum On Studio and Focus Home Interactive, Necromunda: Hired Gun is a single player FPS set in the criminal underworld of the infamous hive city Necromunda. Players will control a bounty hunter who hires their services out to the highest bidder.
While details are fairly scarce, some gameplay mechanics that are mentioned on the Microsoft Store include an upgradable cyber-mastiff companion, customizable augments and guns, and vertical gameplay that includes wall running and a grappling hook.
A release date is listed as June 1st with a price tag of $39.99 USD, though this may change before the game’s formal announcement. There is a Hunter’s Bounty Pack pre-order offer that includes unique cosmetic skins for your outfit, combat knife, stub pistol, and cyber-mastiff’s chew toy.
UPDATE: The game has now been formally announced. Necromunda: Hired Gun launches June 1st for Windows PC (via the Epic Games Store, and Steam), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S.

Original Story:
Necromunda is a specialist game set in the 40k universe that was first released in the ’90s, before being discontinued. The game was rebooted in late 2017 as part of Games Workshop’s ongoing effort to expand their selection of side games set in the 40k, Age of Sigmar, and Warhammer Fantasy universes.
The physical Necromunda games focus on skirmishes between the rival gang houses vying for control of the hive’s criminal underworld, and explores parts of the 40k universe that do not consist of Space Marines, or gigantic sector-wide conflicts that can cost billions of lives.
Streum On Studio and Focus Home Interactive are responsible for another recent 40k first-person shooter, the co-op focused Space Hulk: Deathwing. Focus Home Interactive also published another game based on the Necromunda reboot last year, Necromunda: Underhive Wars.
