EA Play Now Available on Xbox Game Pass for PC

Xbox Game Pass for PC EA Play

Electronic Arts (EA) have announced that EA Play is now available through Xbox Game Pass for PC.

While the service had been available on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for Xbox consoles, the Xbox Game Pass for PC now grants access to a library of EA Games via subscription.

“Through the EA Desktop app, our next-generation PC platform that’s currently in open beta, and the Xbox app for Windows 10,” the announcement explains members will receive access to EA Play and get exclusive in-game challenges and rewards, a collection of outstanding games in The Play List, 10% savings on purchases of EA digital content, and trial access to full versions of select new releases.”

Gamers can follow the set up guide on the Xbox app on Windows 10, which then “redirects” them to EA’s Desktop app- which is currently in open beta. The statement also boats how EA Play is easier to use than ever.

“Our players asked for quicker, simpler ways to get into their games, so we built easy Quick Access and Play Now features, seamless client updates and game patching, and a simplified login and registration system. They wanted a cleaner, more streamlined design, so we created a sleek interface built around a simplified home screen that features highlighted recommendations to help them find what to play next, help them get more from their games and to know what their friends are up to.

They also asked for powerful, easy-to-understand tools to help them manage how they and their family members play. With the EA Desktop app’s collection of Positive Play features, it’s simple to track time spent gaming and to set playtime limits. Through their EA account, players also have tools that let them customize their own purchase limits and how much money they spend. These features are available for teen accounts as well, with zero-default spend limits for purchases and the ability for parents and guardians to set monthly spend limits. They can also keep tabs on their teen’s daily play schedules by customizing time limits to monitor their playtime from a single dashboard.”

EA Play is the result of the merging of EA Access and Origin Access into one subscription service. Subscribers will have unlimited access to a library of EA Games, pre-release trials of newly released games, and will get 10% off any purchases made.

EA Play Pro boasts a larger library of even more EA games, early access to “deluxe versions” of newly released games, and pro-level rewards and content.”

EA Play is available on Windows PC (via Origin, Steam, and Xbox Game Pass for PC), PlayStation 4, and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
