Tekken producer Katsuhiro Harada has started an online talk show with developers, set within a bar he has opened.
The first episode (complete with English subtitles) features Ken Kutaragi, former chairman and CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment and dubbed “Father of the PlayStation.” He is currently the CEO of Cyber AI Entertainment, Inc.
The two show a strong comradery, discussing the past while drinking (though Harada may need a little practice pouring a pint). Among the topics discussed, Harada revealed that Kutaragi brought a cask of sake to Namco for every completed project.
This love of alcohol continues, with Kutaragi revealing the PlayStation headquarters were chosen to be separate from the parent company, as the Sony HQ did not have places to drink after 8 p.m.
This did have a serious motivation, as they wanted to talk to other creators and game companies about their goals for the future. Kutaragi also discussed his new career in robotics.
While the location of the SUPER BIG SHOT bar is a secret, it will be revealed at a later date for other guests to visit. Harada’s Bar will release every Saturday at 24:00 JST (11:00 a.m. EDT)

Harada had previously revealed he was working on a Bandai Namco Entertainment game with one of the highest development costs in its history, and had about three more games left in him to develop.
In July 2020, Harada asked if he should start streaming information about upcoming games. This was likely in response to the cancellation of EVO Online after multiple allegations of sexual harassment and abuse were made against co-founder and CEO Joey “MrWizard” Cuellar and other prominent members of the fighting game community.
