Onion Games has opened a new survey polling their fans which of their older titles they’d like to see be re-released in some form.
“Over the past year, we’ve been running a survey to learn more about our fans,” the developer said in the survey. “Now, for 2021, we’d love to hear your thoughts and opinions on what you wish Onion would release next, especially among our lineup of older, pre-Onion, legacy games.”
Yoshiro Kimura, the founder of Onion Games, had previously director games like Chulip and Rule of Rose (pictured above) under his previous company Punchline. While the former has been re-released on the PlayStation Network, the latter had a super limited print on PS2 and hasn’t been re-released since.
Here’s the entire message:
Hello to everyone all over the world,
This is Onion Games.
2020 was a tough year for everyone, but — thanks to your support — we were able to release moon in English for the first time, along with a physical release of Black Bird!
Over the past year, we’ve been running a survey to learn more about our fans. Now, for 2021, we’d love to hear your thoughts and opinions on what you wish Onion would release next, especially among our lineup of older, pre-Onion, legacy games.
Porting older games is always a huge challenge for us, and we can’t 100% guarantee that any of these options can happen. But, even if a port only has a 1% chance of coming together, your vote could be a big step in making that dream come true!
We’re looking forward to hearing what you think, and will publish the results of the survey after everyone has a chance to vote!
With love,
Onion Games
