Publisher Square Enix and developer Applibot has announced NieR Re[in]carnation has been downloaded over five million times.

The command-style action RPG was originally launched roughly a week ago in Japan for iOS and Android, on February 18th. It managed to get over three million downloads by February 21st. A western release for NieR Re[in]carnation is also planned.

To celebrate the new achievement, Square Enix is giving away 1,000 in-game gems and upgrade materials to all users who log into the game by March 3rd.
