Sense: A Cyberpunk Ghost Story is Coming to PlayStation Uncensored

Sense: A Cyberpunk Ghost Story

Sense: A Cyberpunk Ghost Story from Suzaku Games and Top Hat Studios is coming to the PlayStation 4 and possibly PlayStation 5 via backwards compatibility.

The upcoming port for Sense: A Cyberpunk Ghost Story was announced on the game’s official Twitter and Kickstarter page. A PlayStation Vita version is also still in development.

A PlayStation version of the game has been anticipated by fans for a while now. Though what’s interesting to note is that no changes have been made to accommodate Sony’s recent commitment to “global standards” and will be released unedited on Sony’s systems; this is in spite of Sony’s recent policies leading to the alienation of overseas developers.

“For those wondering as well or who were worried, the game is completely untouched on Sony systems. There are no changes, censorship, or anything of the sort. Top Hat worked very hard to ensure that this would be the case.”

The news that Sense: A Cyberpunk Ghost Story will remain uncensored is a welcome surprise in the face of a controversy at the start of January.

During the controversy, Top Hat Studios was forced to respond to harassment over the choice to publish a game with sexualized characters. The studio also alleges that some of this abuse originated from “industry-adjacent” professionals who worked as either part of, or “adjacent” to the video game industry.

Despite the controversy, Sense: A Cyberpunk Ghost Story is anticipating a physical release of the game for Nintendo Switch and the PlayStation Vita.

Sense: A Cyberpunk Ghost Story is available on Windows PC, Linux, Mac (all via Steam), PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Xbox One, and January 7th on Nintendo Switch. In case you missed it, you can find our review here (we recommend it!)
