Capcom have announced the launch of the Vergil DLC character for hack and slash action game Devil May Cry 5.

Originally only part of the Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition, the announcement of that special edition also stated the Vergil DLC would be available for the base game at a later date.

Vergil is playable on all 20 of the game’s missions in the main story, and can be used on the 100 floor Bloody Palace and The Void. He also retains his Concentration Gauge mechanic from Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition.

The gauge fills as Vergil strikes enemies down, avoids damage, and walks slowly. In turn, the higher the gauge is, the more damage and range his attacks will have. Unique moves can also be used at the higher levels.
