Monster Hunter Rise Game Awards 2020 Gameplay Trailer, Demo Launches January 2021

Capcom have released a new gameplay trailer for Monster Hunter Rise, along with announcing the release date of a demo for the game.

The new trailer (shown during The Game Awards 2020) highlights new monsters Somnacanth and Bishaten, along with returning monsters the Royal Ludroth, Great Wroggi. The trailer also shows The Rampage; where numerous monsters stampede through the stronghold that players need to defend.

The game’s Deluxe Edition will include DLC; layered armor sets and pieces for the Hunter, Palamute, and Palico (Kamurai, Shuriken Collar, and Fish Collar respectively), Gestures (4 Jumps), the Samurai pose set, Kabuki face paint, and the Izuchi Tail hairstyle. Those who pre-order the game will also net the Palamute Retriever Costume layered armor, Palico Forest Cat Costume layered armor, and Novice Talisman.

Amiibo of the Magnamalo, Palamute, and Palico will be available at a later date. Each unlock different layered armor sets in the game. Further, those who play Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin (launching Summer 2021 on Nintendo Switch) can “enjoy a variety of cross-over bonuses.”

Finally, a demo for Monster Hunter Rise was announced to be launching January 2021.

Monster Hunter Rise launches worldwide for Nintendo Switch, on March 26th, 2021. During the Capcom ransomware leaks however, alleged Capcom files claimed the game would head to Windows PC in October 2021. Those leaks claimed the game would have a demo or demos launched between January and March 2021.
