Genshin Impact The Chalk Prince and the Dragon Trailer

Genshin Impact

MiHoYo have released a new trailer teasing some of the content coming to Genshin Impact 1.2 update, including new characters Albedo and Ganyu.

Update 1.2 launches on December 23rd, and the biggest addition is a new area to explore called Dragonspine. This desolate, frigid mountain range is located between Mondstadt and Liyue, and will be the central focus of a new quest chain involving Albedo, Sucrose, and the Traveler as they investigate a mysterious corruption related to the poisonous blood of the fallen dragon Durin.

Dragonspine will feature a variety of new enemies and mechanics to conquer, as well as new resources used to craft items and weapons being introduced in the update. There will also be some new challenges, Domains, and limited time events, including treasure hunts and a new version of the Marvelous Merchandise daily quest that was held a while back.

As with all Genshin Impact updates, there will be new characters coming soon as well. The trailer shows off the two next 5-star characters, Albedo and Ganyu, who will be the focus of the two limited banners held during the update.

Albedo is a Geo sword wielder that has been briefly mentioned in the game before, with 1.2 marking his first major appearance in the game. Ganyu is a Cryo bow user that played a minor role in the second half of the Liyue story arc. MiHoYo will likely release character demo trailers giving a closer look at their skills and abilities in the coming weeks.
