Microsoft Store Leaks Far Cry 6 Release Date; May 25, 2021

Far Cry 6

The Microsoft Store has listed the release date for Far Cry 6; despite no official word from Ubisoft.

The game had previously been delayed to fiscal year 2021 (alongside Rainbow Six Quarantine). Ubsift told investors in a report that this was so they can “leverage their full potential in the context of production challenges caused by COVID-19.” The game is set to launch on Windows PC (via Epic Games Store, and UPlay), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Google Stadia

However, Wario64 (a Twitter account dedicated to video game news) shared that the game’s Microsoft store page, showing its release date as May 25th, 2021. At this time of writing, the store page states the game will launch on May 26th, though this is most likely due to timezones and where the website was accessed.

UPDATE: One staff member of Niche Gamer has also seen the store page with a February 28th, 2021 release date. We will continue to investigate.

As previously reported, the game has players engaging in guerrilla warfare to overthrow dictator Anton Castillo, using weapons, vehicles, and even animals such as horses and a wiener dog.
